Information We Collect

The following information is collected when you use Graxybot:

1. User-Generated Content (UGC). This includes text messages, conversation history, room names, and any images you choose to upload or generate. This content is processed to deliver messages to other users in real-time and to provide AI-generated responses.
2. Profile Information. We collect your display name/username and any optional profile details. This information is visible to other users in chat rooms and messaging threads.
3. Usage Counters & Credits. We maintain counters for message and image generation limits. These are synced to your account to enforce fair use.
4. Generated Images. Images created through the App’s AI tools are saved to your account and local device.
5. Device & Diagnostic Logs. Our servers and hosting providers (e.g., Vercel, Firebase) automatically receive standard metadata (IP address, user agent, crash reports) to maintain service security, reliability, and analytics.

Graxybot does not request access to your contacts, precise location, or motion data beyond what is required for basic app functionality.

How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Deliver real-time messages and sync conversation history across your devices.
• Generate contextual AI responses by analyzing recent message snippets in active conversations.
• Display your profile identity to other users within chat rooms.
• Enforce content moderation policies and investigate reports of abuse.
• Maintain usage limits and improve App performance.

Information Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We share data only as necessary to provide the App’s core features:

• Cloud Storage & Database (Firebase/Firestore). We use Google Firebase to store and sync your messages, user profile, and chat rooms. This allows you to access your history on multiple devices and receive real-time updates.
• AI Model Providers. To generate bot responses, specific message snippets and prompts are sent to our secure proxy (https://graxybot-proxy.vercel.app) and forwarded to AI providers (such as OpenAI). These providers process data to generate a reply and are not permitted to use your data for advertising.
• Infrastructure Services. Third parties like Vercel (hosting) and Apple (iOS services) process data to keep the App running securely.
• Legal Compliance. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Content Moderation & Safety

To ensure a safe environment for all users:

• Optional Censorship/Filtering. The App includes a user-controlled setting to filter profanity or sensitive content. When enabled, messages containing flagged keywords may be blocked or obscured locally on your device.
• Blocking & Reporting. You can block other users or report specific messages/profiles for violating our terms. We review these reports and may take action, including banning users or removing content.
• Automated Moderation. We may use automated systems to detect and prevent the transmission of illegal or highly abusive content.

Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

• Cloud Storage. Your messages, profile, and room data are stored securely in the cloud (Firebase). This data persists until you choose to delete it.
• User Deletion Controls. You can delete specific chat messages, leave rooms, or delete your entire account through the App settings.
  • Account Deletion: Removing your account permanently deletes your profile and private data from our active databases.
  • Chat Deletion: Deleting a chat removes it from your view. Note that in group settings, messages you sent may still be visible to other participants unless specific "unsend" features are used.
• Backups & Logs. While data is removed from our active systems immediately upon deletion, it may persist in secure encrypted backups or server logs for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) for disaster recovery and security auditing purposes.

Data Security

We implement robust security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest for cloud data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. You use the App and its messaging features at your own risk.

Your Choices

• Manage Profile: You can update your display name or profile details at any time.
• Toggle AI Features: You can choose whether to interact with AI bots or use the App solely for user-to-user messaging.
• Opt-out: You can uninstall the App to stop all local data collection. To remove cloud data, please use the "Delete Account" feature before uninstalling.

International Users

Graxybot is operated from the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where our cloud providers (Google/Firebase, Vercel) operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our features or legal obligations. The “Effective date” at the top will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
